Have you worked with Cosmic Canine before? We’d love if you left us a positive review!
We were referred to Maddie of Cosmic Canine in Nov of 2022 when speaking with our vet tech of all of the issues with our newly adopted dog. We did everything we could think of to work with our dog but quite honestly I have never experienced these behaviors in any other dog I had. She was difficult and stubborn. We finally reached out to Maddie just before Christmas and we started to bring our girl the following week. We brought her twice a week for apx 15 months. Whatever Maddie told us to work on we did. It was like our homework on a weekly basis. After a few weeks our dog became easier to walk. It was not a chore to take her out any longer. She started to listen better and grew to respect us. I have to say if we did not bring her when we did, I am not sure we would have had the energy to keep her. Maddie definitely turned our dog around to one of the best dogs I have owned and if it wasn’t for a schedule conflict, our Gracie would probably still be going a couple times a month to keep her on her toes. We have also boarded with Maddie a few times without any worries or concerns. I would recommend Cosmic Canine to anyone that has a difficult dog before giving up!
Maddie means business!
When we brought our 1 year old shepherd to Maddie I thought we were going to have to rehome him if he couldn’t pull it together… he had bitten and was out of control on walks. Watching her show our 100 lb reactive German shepherd how to behave on and off leash was amazing. She was able to work with our goals as well as realistic ones for our pup Siggy. While it takes dedication at home to what she is teaching at “school” she would gladly take the time to teach the parents what exactly we need to do when asked. We especially noticed a difference when we left him with her for a week straight and we went on vacation. Essentially a doggy boot camp that got him into good shape. Having a reactive dog is tough and she’s taught us a lot. Today we can say he’s still with us and can enjoy life more, and although he’s still an anxious shepherd he knows how to handle himself! I recommend Maddie to anyone but especially if you’re dealing with issues like ours.
We started taking our dog Roxy, an American bully to Maddie about a year and a half ago. Roxy lacked confidence in herself. At first Roxy didn’t want to get out of the car.
Now she sits proudly in the front seat and gets so excited just to hear Maddie’s name. Roxy has gained so much confidence in herself and is a better behaved dog. She waits for me to exit a door before she attempts to leave. We had a scare with Roxy last summer while she was boarding with Maddie. Maddie took such great care of Roxy and went above and beyond for our baby. Roxy still goes once a week. I would highly recommend Maddie either for training or boarding. I love seeing Roxy’s reaction to seeing Maddie, the tail goes thumping.
